"Hitman 1, Monarch and Prez, ready to roll."
― Robin[2]

Robin Kuo, TAC name President, is a Hitman Team crew chief and the weapon systems officer of Monarch, its leader. She is famous within Sicario as the only WSO capable of sustaining Monarch's flying style, albeit barely, and comes from a family in the Federation Core States.[3]

She can only be heard throughout the campaign while flying two-seater aircraft.

Biography[]

Little is known of Robin Kuo's background pre-Sicario, only that she joined with or after Monarch.[note 1]

Robin participated in Operation Red Current, remarking to Monarch that she desires more days in the Creole Republic and joking about botching the mission. Dominic Zaitsev, however, says he's got her on record saying so, and Robin began focusing on the mission after chastising him for "being a snitch".[2]

Robin took part in the Cascadian Conflict. During Operation Water Stable, she offered to share with Monarch a bottle of red wine when the operation was over,[4] and in Operation Sea Farer, she expressed annoyance at Dominic picking on her flying skills.[5] The following operation, she was derided by Peter Kennedy for "riding coattails" on Monarch, but mocked him back by the end of the mission when he expressly thanked Monarch for helping him survive the dogfight with the Federation Intercept Specialists.[6]

During a raid on the Chaohord Defense Region, Robin teased Dominic over having to "spend the night with [them both]".[7] She thanked him for keeping stable the IFF connection during the hectic Bering Strait furball, however, as it was right after the Solana Communications Array's destruction. She was stressed out during the fight, but persevered, and taunted Crimson 1 when he closed in on her pilot, and again when Crimson Team was defeated.[8]

At the start of Operation Null Star, Robin was irked at Dominic ordering Hitman Team to cut their chatter, remarking he should be the one told to shut up instead. When she fought Klara Rask in her highly maneuverable SP-34R, she was quite exhausted, unusually for someone as enduring as her.[9] During Operation Free Agent, Monarch's wingmen teased Robin on flying by herself in the operation, as it could've been the "perfect trial by fire" for becoming Hitman 4. Robin replied her pilot "treats her just right" at that point.[10]

Robin, near the end of Operation Anticipation, was apparently stricken by terror by the cordium-tipped cruise missiles the Federation deployed into Prospero, and wanted out of the area like Dominic, but Evelyn London assured her they were able to chase the missiles down. Despite their best efforts, unfortunately, the Cascadian Calamity Event erupted,[11] and on their way back, Hitman and their AWACS were forced into a fight with bounty hunters - Rask herself again, along with the turncoat Master Goose Squadron. She called them out for continuing to fight even after the apocalypse was literally restarted.[12]

Robin witnessed the Deal being made between J. Griffiths and the last few confirmed survivors of Sicario. Commenting to Monarch on it during Operation Blue Shelter, she stated at least part of the offer was "too much power" even for people like them to handle, but was still loyal to them.[13] She showed more signs of exhaustion when fighting Crimson Team for the final time above the ruins of Prospero.[13]

Robin took part in Operation Welder, whereupon hearing Peter's musing about "becoming a frickin' farmer" after retiring from mercenary life, she asserted that people like them don't get that wish, especially after the war.[14] She was also present in Operation Manifest Destiny and expressed abject horror at witnessing Crimson 1, now in the PW-Mk.I, destroy Presidia and shoot down all of their allies.[15] Possibly from a combination of shellshock and physical stress from both the disaster and constant maneuvers, she passed out into G-LOC during the final duel against Crimson 1.[16]

Personality, traits, and relationships[]

"All I need is ten minutes with you, Monarch, and I'm in the black for the week, let’s make the cash flow."
― Robin during Operation Flash Hazard[17]

Robin is known to be "the slightest more talkative" than Monarch, and regarded as a welcome addition to Hitman Team.[18] Among Sicario, she is a social outlier, if a kind one, and pioneers in her need for money, which she sends to her family and risks physiological damage by flying with Monarch for.[3] She and Monarch appear to have a close relationship akin to Peter and Eve, and often banters with other Sicario members, especially Dominic.

She is implied to be a poor flyer, a fact which irritates her whenever it is brought up, and acknowledges how Monarch is so "in the zone" (eg. focused on the mission) that he cannot respond to anyone but with silence.[5] She has difficulty breaking into Hitman's circle despite her connections with them[7] and enjoys red wine with Monarch, a sign of her faith in his abilities.[4][17] She holds that people living life on the edge such as mercenaries do not simply get to retire for quiet lives.[14]

Her emblem is a white seal on a board, a pun on the term "presidential seal."

Etymology[]

"Robin" is a pet name derived from "Robert," meaning "fame/bright/renown." See Kuo family for an explanation of her surname.

Behind the scenes[]

Matthew Nguyen said her emblem was initially a joke request he told Abi Rahmani.[19]
