Oceania is a member state of the Pacific Federation, located in the Southern Hemisphere.

History[]

Oceania was vassalized by the Federation at an unknown point in time between AC 332 and 417.

Around AC 417, the Federation learned that the Mercenary Cabal planned to use Oceania - which they had been stationed at for some time - as a staging point to create a mercenary nation to rival the Federation.[2] This warning, along with Oceania withdrawing its membership due to heightened strains on its deposits, resulted in the Federation's occupation of Oceania, which they pulled off despite heavy resistance.[1]

The war resulted in Oceania condemning mercenaries in general.[3] 15 years later during the Cascadian Conflict, it minorly contributed to the Federation war effort by sending in fighters into the Bering Strait during the furball there.[4]

Military[]

The Oceanian military, while eventually defeated in the war, was presumably resilient while also being lesser enough to rely on mercenaries.[1]

Economy[]

The economy, being dependent on geothermal resources, was the main casus belli of the Oceania War. However, what became of it post-war is unclear.

It appears to welcome corporations in, evident by Icarus Armories' presence and role in Federation airships on a large scale.[5]

Geography[]

Oceania seems to be mostly covered in greenery, with few patches of desert.
