Captain Nikolaus Messerschmidt was the Captain of the Federation Vertical Navy Littoria-class air battlecruiser Serule Blue and a member of Task Force 1.
Biography[]
On May 13, AC 432 during the Cascadian Conflict's Operation Free Agent, the Serule Blue was sunk in the Sawaiiki raid along with Task Force 1. The fate of Captain Messerschmidt is uncertain.[1][2]
Etymology[]
"Nikolaus" is derived from the Greek "Nicolaus," meaning "people's victor/victory/conqueror." "Messerschmidt" means "knife smith."

Nikolaus Messerschmidt is named after the Kickstarter backer of the same name.[3]
