The Meilynx was a Pacific Federation cargo ship that was hijacked by the Burlok Privateers in AC 432.[1]
History[]
At some point in early January AC 432, the Meilynx was transporting cordium (enough to power an airship for a full year) belonging to the Federation Department of Global Energy and Sustainability when it was hijacked by Burlok. The incident became high-profile enough that negotiations were attempted but failed.
In response, the Creole Republic Minister of Defense had a contact contract Sicario to secure the ship's cargo. Once their SOF Ronin confirmed the cargo, however, the contact ordered Sicario to destroy the cargo, which triggered a large explosion that not only sank the Meilynx, but also rendered nearly the entire island uninhabitable.[1] Later, the department would cover up the incident as an accident.[2]
Trivia[]
The Meilynx is named after Meilynx Garuda, one of the Kickstarter backers.[3]
