The Kennedy family is a Cascadian political dynasty, with its patriarch being a Senator.[1] The family's only known heir is an underachieving middle child, Peter Kennedy. The Kennedys may have plenty of political influence, as a city hall in Presidia bears their name and young Peter spent his childhood in the capital. In addition, Senator Kennedy deducted infrastructure bills to counter Pacific Federation taxes, such as in Highway 34.[2]

The family is somewhat domineering in family matters, as they forced Peter into public service rather than allow him to pursue his dreams of flying space shuttles, and that Peter not only parted with them on bad terms, but lamented his current place as a lowly mercenary pilot.[3][4][5][6]

Etymology[]

"Kennedy" is derived from the Anglicized Irish and Scottish for "ugly head."

The family is very likely based on the American political dynasty, right down to its nationality. Furthermore, Peter's desire to become an astronaut might be a reference to US President John F. Kennedy's "We choose to go to the Moon" speech as well as the Kennedy Space Center.
