Gunsel 1 is one of two apparent leadership elements for Sicario's Gunsel Squadron and the first to be introduced during the campaign.
Biography[]
The woman who would become Gunsel 1 was once an instructor at the Federation Air Academy. Sometime after she left, she joined Sicario and became the leader of Gunsel Squadron, its mainline conventional squadron.[2]
During the first day of Sicario's latest contract in Cascadia during its civil war, Gunsel and Hitman Team diverted from the main convoy to defend against Pacific Federation patrols in the Fresnon Range. She and her squadron acted as backup during the battle.[3]
Gunsel also took part in the taking of Rowsdower Air Force Base,[1] the evacuation of Presidia,[4] and the raid on Federation resource facilities, where they retreated relatively early in comparison to other Sicario units.[5] They continued their strikes with Peter Kennedy and Assassin Team,[6] with Gunsel 1 seemingly being replaced at some point before May 13, AC 432.[7] Whether this was a true staff replacement or simply a rotation of deployment-specific leadership is unknown.
Personality and relationships[]
Gunsel 1 is generally annoyed with her boss Arnold Frenken's constant glory hound tendencies. However, as evidenced during the First Battle of Presidia, she has some shades of wanting to establish her own name in history. For all of Hitman's professionalism and successes, she regards them as "the runts of the litter".
Trivia[]
Gunsel 1, along with Robin Kuo and Dominic Zaitsev, are the only three known Federation natives in Sicario.
