The Federation Ground Navy (GN) is the naval ground branch of the Federation Military Forces. Little is known of the branch outside of the fact that they operate land battleships, which enable their presumed purpose of traversing long land distances with heavy firepower.
History[]
The only action seen by the Ground Navy is in the Cascadian Conflict during Operation Blue Shelter. They stored up to four land battleships at Brite Fortress when they were forced to reactivate two of them despite some reluctance by other officers. Both battleships were bombarded into inoperability, however.[1]
