- "We were molded from dirt, by Her hand. And as we were created, so shall we return to Her. Bury us in the ash of our forefathers, and you will see us in flames."
- ― Excerpt from the Book of Fire, First Perdition[1]
The Dust Mother is a deity worshipped by Cascadians. She has at least one holy book associated with Her religion, titled the Book of Fire, First Perdition.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Cut dialogue in Mission 20 would have established that the Dust Mother religion had priests and involved "meeting our Dust Mother in Her heart" as some sort of afterlife.
While examining fanart of the Dust Mother in a halter dress attached to a cloak and wearing a veil with a halo, Matthew Nguyen claimed it strikingly resembled the deity's actual canon appearance.[2]
Trivia[]
Based on the mentions of "God" by Cascadians, it would appear that the Dust Mother religion is a merging of another mainstream religion like Christianity with another new one.
