Battleships are heavily armed warships which are typically the most powerful surface vessels to ever exist.

History[]

The Pacific Federation's 1st Naval Battlegroup utilized battleships, including the flagship Dejanus, to subjugate the Cascadian capital of Presidia for most of the Cascadian Conflict.[1] One of their new, top-of-the-line battleships was later captured by the Cascadian Independence Force and renamed the Eminent Domain, becoming their naval flagship.[2] As well, a pair of them were docked unarmed at Wai Mami Port in Sawaiiki, being sunk in an air raid.[3] The Federation's remaining battleships in-theater, along with the Eminent Domain itself, were all sunk in the closing battles of the war.[4][5]

Trivia[]

  • The battleship is an entirely fictional design; it uses a conventionally shaped hull, but the superstructure resembles that of the Zumwalt-class destroyer's, albeit enlarged.
  • Interestingly, battleships are often positioned as the flagships of various fleets, a role that is often reserved for aircraft carriers in reality. This is akin to the Ace Combat series where this is sometimes the case.
  • Battleships are identified as "Battleship_Radion" in the game files. Whether this is their true class identification is unknown.
