Abi Rahmani is the developer and artist for Project Wingman. He is an Indonesian currently living and working in Australia.
He developed the broad strokes of the World on Fire and collaborated with Matthew Nguyen on the characters, narrative beats, and plot of Project Wingman, performing quality checks and approval on ideas.[1]
On September 3, 2021, Rahmani showed a weekend side project showing a delta-wing twin-tail two-engined jet "drifting" into a runway taxi and taking off. The HUD showed realistic ammunition and fuel, a 1630 timeframe, and callsign "Hound 1." He said his teaser allows cycling between two view modes; one in native resolution or an older look reminiscent of older flight simulators. The last footage for the day showed his plane looking at a modeled chicken (perhaps a nod to Nguyen) as a coda gag.[2]
