The 205-class air battleship also known as CCV-class air battleship or Ccv-class air battleship, is the largest-known airship of the After Calamity Era, boasting a total four cordium engines and the most heavily armed airship ever seen. Their naming convention is unusual, following a numerical/one-letter designation system rather than the "Mk." seen on other airships.
Description[]
205s are heavily armed, at the very least sporting a dozen anti-air weapons; all variants have a CIWS on the nose and tail. The base model lacks railguns, the 205-A models are armed with four of them (two of which replaces some ADV-SAMs), and 205-S models add a couple M-SAMs. Cascadian Independence Force models have green and white coloring while Pacific Federation ones have white bodies with blue stripes on the tails. They have a massive 588-meter wingspan and a length of 296 meters.
History[]
It is very rare to see 205s in airship-to-airship combat, with one of them, the Zetec, participating in the final battles of the Oceanian War. The air battleship later became the head of Task Force 1,[1] which included battleships Robert Astley, Kongo, and Albatross.
205s saw civilian use by the time of the Cascadian Conflict, designated superheavy transports. They were ordered to land on runways during the Operation Broken Chain intercept of the Federation air train on March 21, AC 432.[2] The same war, Task Force 1 was annhiliated in port at Wai Mami Port, the battleships included.[3] A Federation 205-A defended the trade city Prospero against CIF invasion, being shot down by their fighters.
The Federation, related to Prospero, stored a pair of inactive 205s there, which sank because of the Cascadian Calamity Event.[4][5] They also deployed 205s in the final battles of the conflict, at least two of them, and the CIF also deployed a 205-A at Presidia. They were all shot down.[6][7]
Trivia[]
Two Federation 205s can be seen flying about in the menu before leaving the scene.
